The day I saw assassins in the airport

What a CRAZY morning!! Alex and I flew from Langkawi and into KL airport together, after which point we were parting ways. However, upon landing in the airport and coming out of the arrivals hall, we came across a huuuge crowd of armed policemen and paparazzi. The police had formed a human chain barricading a group of people in the middle. I thought perhaps someone famous was here, and we wandered over to look. The crowd started to move away and we asked a reporter who it was. The guy was like "you don't know!?" He said there was a murder in the airport a few months ago of a South Korean politician, and these were the two ASSASSINS who were caught, going through the scene of the crime with the police. We were shocked, not what I was expecting at all!! We walked away and started to doubt him, the story was just so outrageous and we thought he was maybe just trying to pull one over on some tourists. Nonetheless, it was pretty entertaining to see this HUGE group of people following the group of policemen around the airport. I said goodbye to alex and then walked into a Burger King at the airport for some breakfast.

I saw down in Burger King, which had a view of the floor below and over the escalators. About ten minutes into my meal I saw the huge group of policemen that make its way to the escalators!! They closed it off and single file the group made their way up. I was in a PRIME spot, as I saw the two assassins ask the police cleared the escalators and guided them up it. They were two girls, wearing bulletproof vests and handcuffed to wheelchairs, with police pushing them. I immediately googled the story (after taking pictures of course) and sure enough the reporter was telling the truth!! It was so insane!! Below is a news article confirming my story: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-41731238

Anyways, after that madness, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. I arrived in krabi airport and was waiting for the airport shuttle when I met a guy from El Salvador who used to work in Canada and now lived in Krabi. He was incredibly nice, and we chatted the whole time about traveling and such as we made our way into town. He invited me out to rock climb the next day with his friends, and I exchanged information with him in case I felt up to it. I checked into my hostel where I met some Americans and a German girl, then quickly walked down to the beach to eat dinner and watch the sunset.

Distance: 3.6 miles
